This exciting Digital support services course, which has been designed in collaboration with employer, could be just what you are looking for to take the next step in your career.
As part of the course, you will study topics such as digital applications, data analysis and digital environments and develop skills in both physical and virtual infrastructure. You will also develop your technical knowledge and skills such as communication, problem solving and your ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You will have an industry placement for a minimum of 315 hours with an employer who will help you apply theory to a real work environment.
You will benefit from industry standard facilities, software and equipment and learn from tutors with vast industry experience.
The course includes core digital content alongside an occupational specialism component. This will allow you to develop your knowledge and skills to put into practice in your industry placement Alongside your studies you will undertake a substantial work experience placement of at least 315 hours. Extra Studies:Maths, English and digital skills are vital to all roles in digital services and these are embedded throughout the course to help you prepare for working in the industry.

- You will require a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English, maths and computing
- You may also be required to participate in an assessment to ensure suitability ahead of enrolment.

On successful completion of this course, you may progress into industry in a variety of entry-level roles or apprenticeships, such as IT Security Coordinator and IT Support Technician. Alternatively, you can progress into higher education.

Work experience is an important part of your programme, and you will undertake a substantial industry placement with an employer for a minimum of 45 days during your course to help you prepare for your next steps. You will also undertake an employer-set project as part of the course. Carlisle College will take all reasonable steps to provide the course as described.
