Further Education Courses for Adults

Carlisle College has a successful history of providing Further Education courses for adults. We offer a wide range of full-time and part-time courses running throughout the year, designed to allow you to keep other commitments while studying. 

There are often many reasons for returning to study later in life, you might want to pursue a new interest or hobby, or simply pick up where you left off at school.
 

Many of our courses are vocational and/or qualification based so can help improve your job and promotion prospects. We also offer courses that can count towards your continuing professional development (CPD).

We pride ourselves on having welcoming and supportive tutors and a safe and friendly learning environment. If you aren’t quite sure what you want to study then come and talk to one of our experienced advisors who can guide you towards the right course.
 

Our advice sessions run throughout the year and are a great way for you to come and get a feel for the college, the courses on offer and the people you will be working with.

Worried about course fees?

ESOL courses are free for those receiving benefits and many other courses are subsidised depending on your financial circumstances.

We also have a learner support fund available to assist those that need additional support with items such as course equipment*

*eligibility for our learners support fund is means tested

Other facilities on offer?

There is a great range of studying and research materials available in the LRC, where you can gain access to CDs,  Books, Journals, the internet, videos, digital recording equipment and PC and print facilities.

These resources are there to ensure you have the right support you need throughout your studies.
We also have a great selection of food and drink on campus, from hot meals to snacks. There is also a Starbucks Coffee shop on site.
