Carlisle College FE Stars 2011
Final preparations are being made for the Carlisle College FE Stars 2011. The ‘glitzy’ event is a celebration of the achievements of its FE Students over the last academic year and is sponsored by a host of local and national businesses.
The Oscars style event will be held in the brand new Atrium of the College’s £9million campus redevelopment with catering provided by students.
Awards include Student of The Year for each curriculum area, Outstanding Student Achievement, Against all Odds and will culminate with the prestigious Carlisle College Student of the Year award.
College Principal Moira Tattersall said:
“The commitment and dedication shown by our students has been immense, and it is therefore fitting that we take the time to recognise their achievements, and that of the staff who have supported them in their time with us. I am delighted that we are able to host the event in the spectacular atrium.”
The event will commence with tours of the new facilities which include bespoke teaching spaces including hair, beauty and holistic salons, concept classrooms, specialist facilities for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities and the new open plan atrium and gallery space.
Food prepared by College students will then be served prior to the presentation of awards at 7:30.
The College prospectus is available as a download from www.carlisle.ac.uk or can be sent via post for free, call 01228 822700.
