Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements. You will be invited to attend an informal interview at College.
Course Content:
Basic catering skills Level 1 covering:
- Food preparation and cooking
- Food and drink service.
Method of Study
This is a practical course backed up by relevant theory. You will gain experience working in ‘Oyster’ Bistro and Restaurant in our training kitchens.
Method of Assessment
You will be assessed continuously throughout the course and will also produce a portfolio showing evidence of the work you have covered.
Progression Routes
Students may seek employment in a wide range of practical catering situations or progress onto a further hospitality course.
Other Details
Students are required to wear our recommended protective clothing. Clothing and equipment order forms will be supplied.
