A one day a week practical course for students with learning difficulties who wish to be part of an active enterprise activity and also develop work-based skills.
The course is particularly suited to those who have learning difficulties and who wish to develop work-based skills.

Entry Requirements:
This course is for students with additional support needs who wish to develop independent living skills and skills for work.Course Content:
A major part of the course will be the development, making and selling of a craft-based product within a workshop situation.
Included in the work will be work-based skills which will be discussed and practised throughout the year.
- Health and safety in the workplace
- Taking responsibility for yourself in the workplace
- Working with others in the workplace
- Performing in the workplace
These are the kinds of work skills that people look for when they want someone to work for them. During the course we will help you to show people that you have skills that they need.
Method of Study
You will be taught in small groups by your tutors with support from learning support workers wherever needed.Method of Assessment
You will be assessed continually throughout your course and you will not have to take any examinations. At the end you will gain a College certificate.Progression Routes
