Entry Requirements:

These courses are for students with additional support needs who wish to develop independent living skills and skills for work.

Course Content:

A one-day practical course over two years for students who require support in areas of independent living. Modules include:- 1 Health & Safety 2 Working Together 3 Personal Presentation Skills 4 Home Management 5 Living independently. In addition to the practical classes within College, visits within the local community will be part of this course.

Method of Study

You will be taught in small groups by your tutors with support workers wherever needed.

Method of Assessment

You will be assessed continually throughout your course and you will not have to take any examinations. At the end you will gain a College certificate and may gain credits towards Edexcel Certificate in Life Skills.

Progression Routes

You could go on to other full time and part time entry courses or use your skills in the community or employment.
