AAT Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping (Level 2)

The AAT level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping is a shortened version of the Certificate in Accounting and covers the basic principles of ledger accounting and methods of recording financial transactions using manual accounting systems and double entry bookkeeping.  The course is suitable for people with little or no previous qualifications or experience in either accounting or bookkeeping.

The AAT Foundation Certificate covers the basic principles of ledger accounting and methods of recording financial transactions, using both manual and computerised accounting systems and is suitable for people with little or no previous accounting qualifications or experience.

AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting Level 3

The AAT Advanced Diploma Level 3 will develop the skills gained at the level 2 Foundation stage by looking at the preparation of basic accounting statements and returns. The course is suitable for people with some previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping or students who have completed the Foundation Certificate in Accounting or similar qualifications.

This programme is a further development of the AAT Advanced Diploma that looks at more detailed financial and costing statements produced by accountants. The programme also explores more specialist areas of accounting such as taxation and external auditing.
