This programme aims to produce work ready graduates who have a sound knowledge and understanding of computing systems and operations in organisations and the business environment in which they operate, whilst developing the skills and techniques to allow them to either become successful in gaining employment, provide progression opportunities in their place of work or to progress onto further higher education.

The content will enable an individual to study and develop computing skills and knowledge across a range of topics that are valued by employers. The programme will include optional work placements which will enable students to use experiential learning in the modules and apply theory to their placements, whilst developing their own professional practice in their chosen field.

BSc (Hons) Degree Top Up Computing

If you are interested in the field of computing and don’t know what you would like to specialise in or you have interest in more than one area, this course is for you!

This course gives you the opportunity to choose from a range of option modules allowing you to specialise in the area of computing you favour the most. The available option modules include programming, networking and general computing.

This course can open a number of different doors for you depending on module choices you make; you could gain employment as a systems developer, website developer, applications developer, digital forensics officer or IT analyst.
