Your first few months at the College can be as confusing as they are exciting. You will be working hard to achieve good results in lessons but you also need to have a good social life to balance all that hard work!

There are loads of recreational and social occasions planned throughout the year, designed to make your time here as enjoyable as it can be. See our enrichment pages for examples of the kinds of activities you can do whilst studying here.

As a student in the UK, you will automatically have the option to join the National Union of Students (NUS). This means you are entitled to discounts and offers in lots of high street shops and online retailers.

If at anytime you are having problems while you are settling into College life, or if you need support or help, then our Student Services team are there to help.

Carlisle itself is a vibrant growing city, with great shops, nightlife and beautiful parks and countryside within the city and its surrounding area.
