Transport
Cumbrian Students aged 16 - 18 on 1 September 2009
If you are under 19 on 1 September 2009 you may be entitled to assistance with your travel costs from Cumbria County Council if you live more than 3 miles from the College.
If you wish to apply for assistance you must complete a travel application form. The form is available from Cumbria Local Education Authority tel: 01228 226008 or from Carlisle College by completing the online form.
Once you have an unconditional offer of a place return the completed form to:
Transport Applications,
Carlisle College,
FREEPOST (CE637),
Victoria Place,
Carlisle.
CA1 1BR.
Please note: we cannot process the form until you have an unconditional place it is therefore very important to notify the Student Support Services of your exam results. Once we are able to complete section 2 on the form we will forward it to Cumbria LEA.
Students aged 16 18 on 1 September 2009 from outside Cumbria should, in the first instance, contact their Local Education Authority for information on travel assistance.
Scottish students aged 16 18 should apply directly to our Subsidised Transport Scheme (see below).
Carlisle College Subsidised Transport Scheme

You must request an application form for the Carlisle College Subsidised Transport Scheme by completing the slip at the back of this booklet. This application should be completed and returned before the start of the term. Once you are enrolled we will send the application to the LEA
