The BTEC course features a wide variety of units to choose from to ensure learners are prepared and exposed to a wide variety of practical and theory-based work.
The BTEC course will prepare learners for both employment within the sector, apprenticeships within the sector and higher education, including the second year of the program
You will learn a variety of key subject areas in health and social care such as equality, diversity and rights, safeguarding, communication, psychological perspectives, human growth and development and infection prevention.

- Psychological Perspective
- Working in Health and social Care
- Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs
- Work Placement
- Principles of Safe Practice.

Extra Studies:--
This is a class-based course where you will attend 3 days in college and complete a work placement
There are two exams throughout programme. You will be assessed continually through a range of assessments including: observations in a work placement, assignments, reports, presentations, posters and a portfolio.
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above.

You can choose to stay on and complete the extended diploma or go straight into employment.
