The Skills for Independence and Work courses will enable students to gain an Entry 2 and / or Entry 3 Certificate in Employability Skills with support as well as take Functional Skills Maths and English qualifications delivered in a fun way.
Enhancement activities are a key part of the course and include sport and fitness activities, trips out and art etc which develops student's opportunities for work experience.
It also develops increased independence, communication and ICT skills which leads to greater confidence and / or paid employment.

You could work at a higher-level Entry Level 3 on this course or progress onto a Level 1 course, voluntary work or paid employment.
Extra Studies:Entry 2 or Entry 3 Certificate in Skills for Further Learning and Employment, and Functional skills in maths and English.
A variety of teaching methods are used, including practical sessions, group discussions, and a mixture of individual and small group projects. Attend maths and English classes on a weekly basis to help them make progress in these two areas. Attend a weekly session in a vocational area.
Through coursework and Functional skills assessments.
- You must already be working at a level appropriate to the study programme; this will be discussed at interview to see if this is the most suitable course.
