More about the course

This PGCE Young People and Adults course is perfect if you have a degree and would like to teach a specialist vocational subject area in the 14+ sector. You will have a passion for education and your specialist subject in particular, and will want to inspire young people and adults to enjoy learning about the subject.

You will undertake a placement of 100 hours to develop your teaching practice in an education setting. As this course is full-time, it is intensive in nature and is intended for those who wish to study on a full-time basis.
Trainee teachers will analyse the many changes currently affecting the further education and skills sector. They will develop their knowledge of various teaching approaches and techniques to become a skilled and reflective teacher.   
 
With the support from experienced tutors from a range of sectors across the industry, trainee teachers will receive real life examples and industry contact including workshops and placements to understand the complex, ever-changing and exciting world of teaching.
