Course Fees: £1,265.00 + Registration fee of £90.00 + 2x Assessment fees of £60.00 each : Total costs £1,475.00. Some students may be eligible for funding through the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship programme and L3 Adult Skills Funding subject to availability.
The AAT Advanced Certificate in Bookkeeping will develop the skills required to gain AAT Bookkeeper Status (AATQB).
The course is suitable for people with some previous bookkeeping qualifications or experience who wish to become a qualified bookkeeper.
The L3 Diploma in Accounting builds on the skills and knowledge from the AAT Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping but is also aimed at experienced bookkeepers and covers areas such as double entry bookkeeping, year-end bookkeeping processes final accounts for traders and partnerships and preparing VAT returns.

A flexible approach to learning; We have partnered with Mindful Education to deliver out AAT courses. The delivery model is called Online and On Campus. This model has been running successfully for a number of years. Students will study online lessons, comprising video lectures and questions to check your learning. You will learn the main concepts online via Mindful Education virtual learning environment and then attend an on campus workshop (whether face to face or remotely). We will consolidate your learning and pick up on any areas that we feel need particular focus. The campus workshops are run weekly for evening class learners and learners are required to attend all sessions.
Computer based exams.
- AAT Level 2 in Bookkeeping or Accounting,
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs a grade 4 (C) or above, including Maths and English,
- Experience is desirable.

Other Details:
AAT Membership: Students will also need to apply for student membership with AAT to be able to complete the programme, the registration fee is currently £155 for new students (1). Please note that all funded learners with the exception of those on the apprenticeship programme, will need to pay for their own AAT membership. Assessments can only be sat if you are a member of the AAT.
