Education Endowment Foundation - GCSE Maths and English Support Trial

The tuition programme, delivered for an hour each week by the education charity Get Further, is being run exclusively for first-year students retaking their GCSE English or maths exams as part of a Randomised Control Trial (RCT) funded by the Education Endowment Fund (EEF). The EEF are a UK-based charity who evaluate educational interventions to determine what works best in raising attainment.

By registering their interest in participating in this trial, your child will be entered into a random selection process. This means they will have a 50% chance of being placed in the intervention group, where they will receive one hour of free small-group tuition per week from Get Further, and a 50% chance of being placed in the control group, where they will not receive Get Further’s tuition this academic year and will continue with their studies as planned.

Get Further’s tuition programme is tailored specifically for GCSE resit students and has received national recognition for its positive impact.
