    Exams - Important Information

    The information on this page relates to the results of BTEC, Technical and General qualifications. We will update you here with information regarding how and when you will receive your results, and the support that will be available to you.

    Important Reminders

    It is important that you check both weather forecasts and local transport prior to your exams so that you can allow plenty of time traveling to college for your exams.

    GCSE Summer Exams

    Learners will be sitting GCSE exams for maths and/or English in the coming weeks. It is of paramount importance that all GCSE students participate in the exams so please note that maths has 3 exam components and English has 2 exam components. Students must sit ALL components if they are to be successful in these exams.

    Learners who are not usually in college on the day of their exam, are expected to attend on that day to sit the exam. Learners should aim to bring all necessary equipment.

    Maths Equipment Required:

    · Ruler, Protractor, Pen, Pencil, Scientific Calculator and Water Bottle (must be clear with no labels).

    English Equipment Required:

    · Ruler, Pen, Pencil and Water Bottle (must be clear with no labels).

    Learners also need to bring their college I.D cards.

    The dates for these examinations are as below:

    Thursday 15 May (AM) Mathematics Paper 1: Non-Calculator

    Friday 23 May (AM) English Language Paper 1: Non-Fiction Texts

    Wednesday 04 June (AM) Mathematics Paper 2: Calculator

    Friday 06 June (AM) English Language Paper 2: Contemporary Texts

    Wednesday 11 June (AM) Mathematics Paper 3: Calculator

    Students need to report to reception by no later than 08:30am on these days. Please plan your journey in advance as there are multiple roadworks taking place around the college and wider area which may affect your travel times.

    Tutors will be giving students further information in the classes leading up to these dates.
