What you need to bring to complete your enrolment.

What information do I need to bring?

When you enrol on a course at Carlisle College, you’ll need to provide proof of identity and, in some cases, evidence of your right to live and study in the UK. You’ll also be asked to provide a range of information, including your contact details and address details, evidence of any qualifications you’ve achieved, and the contact details of your next of kin.

If you are not a British or Irish national please bring proof of your immigration status. More detail can be found here.

At enrolment you are required to provide:

  • Valid ID which confirms your address and date of birth. Valid ID includes:
    • Birth certificate AND National Insurance number
    • Passport
    • If you do not have the evidence above, we can accept a full or provisional driving licence
  • Original copies of existing qualifications, as well as the ones you have just achieved and/or statement of results.
  • Contact details of your next of kin – A next of kin is a relative or carer/guardian you have the closest relationship with.
  • If you are aged 19+ you will need to provide the means to pay for your course or proof of evidence to waive fees. For example, a current benefits letters, or Adult Learner Loan application if you plan to study at Level 3.

I am not a British or Irish citizen, what do I need to bring?

This page explains what Right to Study means, who it applies to, and what you may need to do before your enrolment appointment.

We know immigration documents can sometimes feel confusing, so we have written this guide to make the process as clear and as straightforward as possible.

Why do I have to provide next of kin details?

If you are aged under 18, the College will request your next of kin details. This information will be used in the event of an emergency and may be used to request consent for any trips you may go on as part of your college course.
