On Tuesday 4th March, we opened the doors to our exciting new training restaurant, Kitchen by Student & Co. which will be run by our hospitality students.

On the opening evening our wonderful students created a delicious meal and did a fantastic job hosting guests for the evening. Level 3 Advanced Cookery student Irene Modanza took on the role of Head Chef for the evening, as part of our Budding Chef series, with fellow students taking on supporting roles in both the kitchen and front of house. The students were also supported on the evening by Jen, Laura and Scott from our experienced hospitality team.

Guests were welcomed by Principal Sarah McGrath, and Guest of Honour Hrishikesh Desai of Farlam Hall,   who is actively supporting the college with our hospitality programme. 

Kitchen by Student & Co will begin by opening on select evenings over the coming months where you can book a table at one of our Budding Chef nights. As part of the Budding Chef series, each Level 3 student will take on the role of Head Chef for the evening, where they will design and prepare the menu. They are supported on the evening by their fellow students who take on roles supporting in the kitchen and front of house. The budding chef evenings are a fantastic way for students to gain first hand experience in the hospitality industry and forms part of their course assessment. Students are also supported on the day by our dedicated teaching staff.

Kitchen, by Student & Co will be open to the public for Budding Chef nights on the following dates:
