This week we had the pleasure of hosting Food Technology students from local schools for a dining experience, organised by Cumbria Tourism, Cumbria Careers Hub, and Enterprising Cumbria

As part of the afternoon, students were treated to a delicious 3-course meal, cooked by Hrishikesh Desai of Farlam Hall Hotel and Restaurant and our Michelin-trained tutor Scott Price, along with Carlisle College's professional cookery students supporting in both the kitchen and front of house. The front-of-house student team was led by acclaimed local chef and tutor James Hill, and the students received talks about personal career development, and career aspirations.

The menu of the day included:

Wild Mushroom Veloute & Brioche

***

Roast Breast of Chicken, Maris Piper "Gratin Dauphinoise", Carrot Fondant, Burgundy Garnish, Chicken Jus

***

Vanilla Cheesecake with Rhubarb Jelly

Sable Biscuit

We're fortunate to have such wonderful working partnerships with Cumbria Tourism, Cumbria Careers Hub and Enterprising Cumbria so that we can participate in hosting such events that benefit our learners, future students and supports career development in the local economy.
