Essential Skills (English and Maths)

Passing your maths and English qualifications can have a significant positive impact on your future education and career plans. Given their importance in gaining work, we’ll help you to achieve the most relevant qualifications in English and maths. Not only will we help and support you to achieve your grades we’ll also show you how learning maths and English can be enjoyable!

At Carlisle College we place Maths and English development at the heart of your study programme and highlight the relevance of these throughout your time on the course. You’ll continue to develop these skills so you can become confident and competent in achieving the required level to progress. If you don’t already have a grade 4 or above in these subjects, your timetable will include Maths and/or English lessons and you must attend these to complete your course.
