About Us

Andersons supply quality fitted kitchens, interior and exterior doors, wood flooring, timber, and hardware to trade and public customers across the UK. The company started in Cumbria in 1888 as a timber yard and sawmill, and to this day supplying timber to both trade and public customers represents a sizeable part of our business.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-orientated individual to join the finance team at our Head Office in Carlisle as an Assistant Accountant Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity working closely with the Finance Director to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised accounting qualification.

Key responsibilities:

• Assisting with day-to-day financial transactions
• Processing invoices, receipts and payments
• Supporting month-end and year-end reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with the processing of supplier price files

Requirements:

• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• A willingness to learn and develop
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Level 2 Maths and English (equivalent to grade 4 (C) GCSE or above)

Entry Requirements

Maths & English GCSE grade 4 / C or equivalent qualification
