Apprenticeship Description

JJ Group was established in 1993. Our longevity and growth in the industry has been achieved by developing long term relationships with clients and contractors alike, which is a direct result of consistently delivering high quality work in a health and safety focused manor

Our operational office is based at Kingstown in the City of Carlisle, Cumbria. Now in our 30th year we have established ourselves and have developed an envious reputation with local authorities, health authorities, main contractors and consultants alike providing strong foundations and a loyal customer base which we continue to develop.

Our workforce is Cumbrian based, and we are proud to say, we employ over 95% of local people at our operational office address. We have over 30 site based electrical engineers, complimented by a strong back office and management team along with 13 apprentices training towards being part of our workforce for the future.

Full Description of position

This role will support the administrative function of a busy operational office, actively supporting on-site activities of teams of engineers.

Duties will be varied depending on business need and activity, suiting a strong team player who is willing to support their colleagues, and will include:

  • Reception responsibility including telephone and email enquiries, as well as on-site visitors
  • Supporting with orders and managing office stationery supplies
  • Issuing and processing invoices
  • Maintaining accurate filing systems

General administrative support as and when required.

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Working Week

Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm with 30-minute lunch

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths & English Grade 4/C or Functional Skills Level 2
