Apprenticeship Description
The successful candidate will be working on a variety of Carpentry and Joinery projects in Carlisle and across Cumbria.
Examples of types of work carried out but not limited to:
- Measuring, cutting and shaping materials, - precisely measuring and preparing wood of construction.
- Building and assembling structures – constructing frameworks, installing cabinets and assembling furniture.
- Installing fixtures and fittings – installing doors, windows, railing and other components.
- Repairing and maintaining existing structures – addressing damages and replacing worn-out parts.
- Working with other trades – collaborating with plumbers, electricians, and other construction professionals.
- The work will involve working on kitchens, roof structures, stairs, doors and much more.
- Power tools will be provided.
Working week
Monday – Friday 40 hrs/week (8am-5pm)
Skills Required
Not essential but preferable experience in using basic hand tools or having some hand on experience.
Personal Qualities
The candidate must have enjoyment in constructing and creating.
Entry Requirements
Maths & English GCSE grade 3 / D or equivalent qualification.
