Apprenticeship Description

Employer Description

Telappliant delivers Telecoms, IT, Network Services, Fibre & Copper Cabling, Broadband, Wi-Fi, CCTV, Site Access & Security, Electrical Systems & Infrastructure to organisations across the UK. Our success relies on providing a reliable and responsive service, and this role will play an important part in supporting customers, resolving service queries and helping to ensure their needs are handled efficiently.

Description of Position

The Apprentice Service Support Technician will join our technical support team, learning from experienced engineers while gaining hands-on experience in helpdesk support, equipment maintenance, fault finding and customer service. This is a technical service and engineering role rather than an IT support position. You will help diagnose and resolve issues, manage support tickets, prepare and configure equipment, support system administration and guide customers through their systems.

The role will also give you the opportunity to develop practical experience with on-site installations and a range of technologies, including CCTV, access control, audio-visual equipment, copper and fibre cabling, and wireless networks. Alongside your day-to-day training, you will attend college to build the technical knowledge needed to grow into a skilled and confident support technician.

Working Week

40 hours per week

Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 17:00; with half an hour break

Future Prospects

Skills Required

We are looking for someone with good communication, customer service, organisation and problem-solving skills, who can remain calm under pressure, work to a high standard and recognise when an issue needs to be escalated. A full, clean driving licence is preferred.

Personal Qualities
