Full Description of position

A Heavy Vehicle (HV) technician services, inspects and repairs Heavy Vehicles.

You will work as part of a team of technicians in our fully equipped workshop undertaking services, inspection and repairs of Brownriggs fleet of minibuses and coaches, using dealership level diagnostic equipment.

You will have strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn the theoretical and practical aspects of vehicles systems whilst attending Carlisle College on day release for 3 years.

You will be able to work independently but also operate as an effective team member and have good customer handling skills.

Working Week

Monday to Friday (38 hours per week)

Entry Requirements

GCSE maths and English grade 4 / C or above – or equivalent qualification.

Those aged 19 or over who are unable to evidence attainment at this level will need to demonstrate a working ability of this level via in-college assessment.
