Apprenticeship Description

Purpose

To develop and grow the knowledge and skills to become a Sales Support Administrator through a structured apprenticeship programme combining practical, on the job experience within the office alongside formal training in Business Administration delivered by day release studies at college. A role designed to prepare the apprentice for a long-term career within the business as a skilled and qualified Sales Administrator.

Accountabilities

Daily Support to Machinery Sales Department, covering the following key areas;

· Hands on experience working alongside skilled administrators in an office setting.

· Learn how to work alongside other internal teams daily (Credit Control/Purchase Ledger).

· Attending college days and completing coursework to timescale.

· Building key relationships with the sales team and internal departments.

· Support with daily administration tasks – purchase orders, sales orders, customer invoicing, goods received notes.

· Learn how to work within a team of administrators and also independently.

· Ensuring dealer standards are maintained across the department and maintaining a

clean, safe and efficient working environment.

· Any other task associated with the efficient Sales Support process.

Adhere to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.

To ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.

 

Essential/Desirable Skills & Experience

· Maths and English GCSE’s at Grade 4 or above.

· A genuine interest in administration/business.

· A positive attitude and strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.

· Good timekeeping, reliability and a responsible approach to work.

· Strong teamwork skills with the confidence to ask questions and learn from others.

· Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with colleagues and customers.

· A proactive mindset and pride in completing tasks to a high standard.

· Commitment to attending college, completing coursework and progressing through the apprenticeship programme.

· Written skills – proven ability to use clear, concise language specific for the purpose and audience.

· Confident IT User.

· Ability to assess priorities and manage completing deadlines both independently and as a member of a team.

· Adaptable/Flexible.

· Growth Mindset.
