This course is appropriate for those wanting to go into the Health & Care professions. It will provide the academic knowledge for learners to move onto studying HE courses such as Nursing, Midwifery & Occupational Therapy. However, there are many other options available.
Students will learn;

- Human Biology
- Psychology
- Health Promotion
- Core- Researching and Understanding opportunities to study in HE
- Maths: Number
- English Language
You will attend college 3 days a week from (9:15-4:30). These will all be taught classes. On one day you will have a regular meeting with your course tutor to discuss your progress, any issues, and provide additional academic support.
There will be a wide variety of assessment methods including essays, exams and academic posters
- GCSE Maths and English at grades 4 (C) and above or equivalent such as Level 2 Functional Skills. Please note that if you do hold a GCSE equivalent (rather than having an grade 4 (C) or above at GCSE) and you are planning to progress to a specific University, it is recommended that you check that they will accept your GCSE equivalent qualifications. Awarding Body: AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group 19+ students will be eligible to apply for the 19+ Advanced learner loan, this will be written off once students complete their university degree.
Potential to progress onto Nursing, Midwifery, OT and a vast range of other health non-health based degrees
