If you design furniture, room layouts, designing products, Manufacturing, Plumbing, electrical Carpentry and Joinery products like roofing, staircases and basic site plans, workshop rods for doors and windows, warehouse space efficiency, Engineering design, or just like to create, explore and draw, this course will delve into the basics of 2D AutoCAD and the 3D parametric modelling of Inventor.
Learn how to create precise 2D drawings and also detailed 3D solid form parts and assemble them into possible animated products. Learn how to create 3D products and turn them into working 2d annotated drawings for manufacture, in a course that has a fluid split between AutoCAD and Inventor, and their abilities.
2D AutoCAD. Navigate the drawing environment. Use basic commands like draw, cut, mirror, trim, layers, create multiple shapes and arrays. Templates and scales, annotate and text. 3D Inventor. Explore the 3D world of drawing space. Create 3D Parts, assemble, animate assembly parts, creating working CAD drawings for manufacture. Create Parts lists, Draw, extrude, retro edit the parts dimensions.
Students will learn;
Full use of AutoCAD and Inventor in our Cad suites. Support and guidance in an Informal setting.
Session based tasks, around drawing products and forms.
