The course is aimed at those with little or no experience in the plumbing industry, but who are interested in pursuing a career in the industry. The course aims to deliver units covering the basic plumbing topics and allow opportunity for professional skills, knowledge and behaviours have been developed and instilled.
The study programme will allow for the basics of health and safety to be studied, creating a safe working environment both from a theory and practical point of view. The content is then structured in a way which learners can build from health and safety understanding, and progress on to topics such as hot and cold water and central heating.
Students will learn;
- Health and safety
- Sanitation
- Plumbing skills (practical and theory)
- Hot and cold water
- Drainage
- Central heating
Level 2 Technical Certificate in Plumbing Studies
Extra Studies:Work placement in a relevant setting.
Combination of practical workshop activity and classroom-based theory.
Exams and practical synoptic assessment.
- GCSE grades 3 and above in Maths, English and Science or equivalent,
- Mature students with relevant experience / qualifications may be eligible.
