Learners attend six sessions in college over a 16-week period and will study using the online Microsoft materials at a pace that is appropriate.
You will master the basics in Microsoft Azure to further develop your networking knowledge and give you the skills needed to move forward in your career within IT support and networking.
It is essential you have some familiarity with concepts of networking, storage and IT service support
The course covers a broad range of topics associated with cloud computing and specifically Microsoft Azure services. These topics include cloud computing concepts where you will consider models and services available, such as public, private and hybrid cloud, in addition to infrastructure as a service, platform as a service and software as a service. Study will then move on to cloud architecture and services which contains topics such as Azure resources and resource groups, datacentres and subscriptions. This will be followed by a much deeper dive into the Azure network services, virtualisation, security and storage solutions available so that learners will develop a rounded understanding of what cloud computing and Microsoft Azure can offer. Finally, you will study differing aspects of cloud management and governance including topics such as cost management, Azure policy and monitoring.
