This exciting Digital Production Design and Development course, which has been designed in collaboration with employers, could be just what you are looking for to take the next step in your career.
As part of this course, you’ll study topics such as digital analysis, data and planning, as well as legislation and security. You’ll develop your technical knowledge and skills such as communication, problem solving and your ability to work independently and as a team.
You will have an industry placement for a minimum of 315 hours with an employer who will help you apply the theory to a real-work environment.
You’ll have access to our fantastic facilities, industry-standard software and equipment and learn from tutors with years of industry experience who are here to get you where you want to be.
You will also complete an occupational specialism component (Digital Production Design and Development). Alongside your studies you will undertake a substantial work experience placement of at least 315 hours.

Extra Studies:Maths, English and digital skills are vital to all roles in digital services and these are embedded throughout the course to help you prepare for working in the industry.

- You will ordinarily require a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English, maths and computing
- You may also be required to participate in an assessment to ensure suitability ahead of enrolment

On successful completion of this course, you may progress into industry in a variety of entry-level roles or apprenticeships, such as roles in web and software development, computer gaming and eLearning.
Alternatively, you can progress into higher education.

Work experience is an important part of your programme, and you will undertake a substantial industry placement with an employer for a minimum of 45 days during your course to help you prepare for your next steps. You will also undertake an employer-set project as part of the course. Carlisle College will take all reasonable steps to provide the course as described.
