Installation and Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve a Level 3 Installation Electrical and Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship, City and Guilds 5357 Electrotechnical Qualification, up to date Regs (Currently BS 7671, 2018 (2022), 2391) initial verification qualification.

• Understand design and installation practices and procedures
• Apply design and installation practices and procedures
• Understand how to plan and oversee electrical work activities and organise and oversee the electrical work environment
• Understand terminations and connections of conductors and how to terminate and connect conductors
• Apply practices and procedures for maintenance (optional unit)
• Understand inspection testing and commissioning and how to inspect, test and commission electrical systems
• Understand fault diagnosis and rectification and how to apply fault diagnosis and rectification. Understand the requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2018 (2022)

By the end of the apprenticeship the candidate will have satisfied the requirements for registration as Eng Tech by the Engineering Council. 

No formal Maths & English study is required for apprentices who have met the entry requirements for this apprenticeship, although Maths & English skills are embedded within course content.

Your employer will pay you Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage as a minimum, in line with national minimum wage regulations. Your rate of pay will be agreed with your employer.
