If you are a practical person, are interested in how things work, and have a passion for designing and creating new structures and buildings, construction could be the industry for you. From plastering and painting, to carpentry and joinery, or bricklaying, a construction course at Carlisle College can help you craft your future. You'll benefit from a hands-on learning environment, learning from industry experienced tutors who know their trade inside and out. We're also excited to be able to bring you innovative learning environments, introducing technology such as Metaverse to help you learn in virtual environments. Through our close links with local and national employers, you’ll get insight into the construction industry and have the chance to take part in competitions and trade shows across the country.

This Entry Level Certificate in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development is designed to provide an introduction to working in the Construction industry. It also develops generic employability skills designed to build confidence for the workplace.
