More about the course

The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering enables those working within the catering industry to achieve a useful and worthwhile qualification in food safety.  
 
Learners will be able to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of safe working practices employed by food businesses. 

This one-day classroom-based course provides learners with a broad level of knowledge in handling food carefully and 
safely as well as knowing how to identify hazards in food establishments. 
 
Learners will also understand how to control different food safety hazards.  It meets the legal basic food training requirements for people who handle food as part of their job or in a voluntary role.  
 
At the end of the course learners will sit an external exam to gain the full qualification.
