Want to improve your literacy skills? This Level 2 Functional Skills course is for you.

This qualification provides an ideal stepping-stone to GCSE English Language. A Functional Skill in English includes improving speaking and listening skills, reading and writing.

You will identify the main points and ideas in a variety of texts, written for a variety of purposes. You will construct extended pieces of writing in a variety of forms, employing spelling, grammar and punctuation accurately. You will make relevant and extended contributions in discussions, as well as presenting information clearly.

This course runs at various points throughout the year.

You will be notified of the next available start date once you have submitted your application.

There are no formal entry requirements, but an initial assessment will be carried out to assess the level you are currently working at, and to determine your suitability for the course.

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve a Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Adults Functional Skills Qualification in English.
