Upon successful completion of this, you will receive Pearson BTEC L3 T Level Technical Qualification in Digital Support Services: Cyber Security.

Development of Maths, English and Digital Skills are embedded throughout the occupational specialism content.

You will be assessed through two externally set exams covering knowledge from the management and administration core components. One employer-set project from the core component and one year long external occupational specialism assessment that features a considerable practical element.

Learners will have opportunity to engage with a range of enrichment activities including trips to universities, local businesses, and engage with employer guest lectures and projects.

There are a range of employers we work alongside to create opportunities for work placement. Industry Placement consists of 45 Days working in IT security, cyber security firms, or digital support services to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.

English and maths and digital skills are embedded into the course to help students enhance their skills.

For example, English skills are developed through communication and presentation through writing of professional reports, emails and technical documentation, creating incident reports, security policies analysis of ethical issues and using clear and effective communication for different purposes.

Maths skills will be further developed through data analysis and encryption working with binary, hexadecimal and encryption algorithms. Statistical analysis using maths to interpret cyber-attack patterns and assess system vulnerabilities. Applying maths in coding, trouble shooting and cyber security simulations.

Upon successful completion of this course, you could progress to a university degree. You can earn up to 168 UCAS points which you could access most university courses, you could also access higher level apprenticeship for example in Business admin, Accounting, HR, Quality, Management or employment within any organisation.
