- Duty of care and best practices of the care sector including medication and safeguarding. This knowledge will then be put into practice in our onsite new medical hub. This will include real life scenarios including first aid, moving and assisting individuals from beds to chairs and supporting with basic tasks like washing and accessing toileting.
- Further develop sector service skills by preparing for working in the sector including communication, working as a team, handling confidential information, and mental health awareness.
- You will have the opportunity to access further learning and qualifications through our extensive online course portfolio with over 100 courses, covering topics including handling medication, dementia care, infection control, and safeguarding.
In addition to formal qualifications learners will gain vital employability skills including interview techniques including mock interviews, and CV and application form completion as well as industry insights from guest speakers including representatives from Lifeways and the NCIC.
