More about the course

The L3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification.
Completion of this qualification will provide assurances that new teaching staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare, plan, deliver and evaluate basic teaching and learning sessions, in a variety of teaching or training contexts.

This qualification is based around preparing and delivering a micro–teach session and may be undertaken by individuals who are not in a teaching or training role as there is no minimum teaching practice requirements.

The course will develop your knowledge of some of the core teaching approaches, theories and techniques to become a skilled and reflective practitioner. With the support from the experienced tutor/s, you will receive real life examples and supportive workshops and to understand the complex, ever-changing and exciting world of education.

Entry requirements

GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above in maths and English
A minimum of a Level 3 in your subject specialism
