English – Level 1 Adult Functional Skills Qualification

This course runs at various points throughout the year, not fixed or limited.

You will be notified of the next available start date once you have submitted your application.

• There are no formal entry requirements, but an initial assessment will be carried out to assess the level you are currently working at.

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve a Pearson Edexcel Level 1 Adult Functional Skills Qualification in English.

You will learn skills to develop English writing and reading to lead on to Level 2.

One 2-hour 30-minute taught session with a 15-minute break. 

• External exams in reading and writing 
• In-class speaking and listening assessment 

Upon successfully completing this course, you could continue onto a higher-level course (Access) or a GCSE.
