Health and Social Care - Level 3 Extended Diploma

• Completion of Level 3 BTEC 90-Credit National Foundation Diploma in Health and Social Care
• 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) and above, including English, maths, science, and two other academic subjects
• The course requires students to complete up to 100 hours work placement per year in an appropriate setting, which may involve work with children or vulnerable adults
• You must obtain a satisfactory up-to-date DBS check

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve a L3 CACHE/NCFE Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care

• Caring for individuals with dementia

This is a class-based course where you will attend 3 days in college and complete a work placement.

Weekly work experience sessions will ensure you are developing your employability skills along with 100 work placement hours in the sector.

English and maths skills are pivotal within the health and social care sector providing opportunities for further development and progression.

On successful completion of this course, you may choose to go on and study at university, including a Foundation Degree / Degree in nursing, midwifery, radiography or social work, or go straight into employment within the NHS or private sector, including support work, residential homes, care homes and assisted living facilities.
