There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

A college certificate recognising your progress on the course, along with developing your own confidence, independence and essential life and employability skills.

• Mental Fitness – supporting wellbeing, resilience, and confidence

The curriculum is holistic in its approach, promoting key life skills through a wide variety of teaching methods and practical activities. Learners take part in sessions that develop communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-management, ensuring they are equipped for real-world situations. The course is underpinned by the NCG Guarantee, ensuring that every learner experiences high-quality teaching, meaningful enrichment opportunities, and clear pathways to their next steps.

Assessments are learner led and ability appropriate.

There will be opportunities to complete both internal and external work experience.

Maths and English are integral components of the programme, embedded within the wider curriculum to support functional skill development. These subjects are delivered in a supportive and accessible way, helping learners build their confidence and competence in core skills that are essential for further education, training, or employment. By combining academic learning with practical experiences, the New Ambition course prepares learners to progress successfully onto their next stage, whether that be supported internships, further study, or the workplace.

After completing the course, you could progress onto: the Pre-Internship, Internship, or into Curriculum onto a level 1 course.
