Pre-Access to HE - Level 2

• There are no formal entry requirements for this course
• An interest / desire to go into the health sector would be beneficial as would already having English and/or maths at grade 4 (C) and above, or their equivalent

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve a Level 2 Pre-Access to Higher Education.

Learning will take place in college 2 and a half days per week. Tutors will guide you through all learning and work that is involved.

• Portfolio of evidence
• Coursework
• Written pieces
• Posters
• Reports
• Written questions

Weekly work experience sessions will ensure you are developing your employability skills, along with work placement hours in the sector.

You will also have the opportunity to study and sit both (or either) Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 2.

On successful completion of this course, you will gain the knowledge and skills required to progress into employment or on to a related Level 3 learning programme. 

The qualification could lead to progression onto:  

• An appropriate Level 3 Access to Higher Education Diploma
• A Level 3 Apprenticeship
