This course covers the major aspects of business including Finance, Marketing and Human Resource Management.
This Pearson BTEC qualification has been developed in consultation with cross sector employers to ensure it enables you to develop the skills and behaviours that will give you the best opportunity to be successful when applying for work.
This qualification is equivalent in size to 3 ‘A Levels’, with the potential to gain up to 168 UCAS points for those wishing to study further at University. This course is best suited for those wanting to progress into roles such as marketing, accountancy or human relations.
The vocational elements of the course can give you a head start, whether you choose to go straight into employment after the first year, continue onto the extended Diploma or following successful completion of the second-year progress onto higher education. The content of the qualification relates directly to the transferable skills, knowledge and behaviours expected by employers in Business.

Extra Studies:Students on this course will learn through a variety of methods including practical, lectures, projects, case studies, presentations and many more designed to equip learners with the skills required to achieve in Business. All students enrolled onto this course will be expected to undertake home study
Assessment methods includes a variety of methods and styles suited to skills and occupationally based qualifications at this level. The style of assessment draws on the learning throughout the qualification and assessments are graded using a scale of pass, merit and distinction. Students will also be assessed through examination
- 5 GCSEs at Grades 9-4 (A-C) including Maths and English,
- or
- BTEC Level 2 or similar qualification with GCSE Maths and English Grades at 9-4 (A-C).
