The technical certificate in electrical installation is a vocational qualification aimed at those who wish to work as an electrician in the building services industry.

The design aims to deliver a high level of occupational skills, knowledge and behaviour progressing through the steps towards becoming a competent electrician.

Develop detailed understanding of Scientific principles and linking these principles in to installation of wiring systems and enclosures. The content well be underpinned by health and safety and ensuring an ability to apply key health and safety principles to practical tasks.

• Electrical installation
• Electrical technology

Level 2 Technical certificate in Electrical Installation

Industry work placement

A combination of workshop based practical tasks and classroom-based study.

Practical synoptic assessment and theory exam.

• 5 GCSEs, at grade 3 (D) and above including Maths, English and Science at grade 3 (D) or above

Level 3 in electrical installation

Apprenticeship in electrical installation.
