Beauty Therapy - Level 2

• 4 GCSEs at grade 3 (D), including English and maths
• Level 1 qualification vocational qualification
• Level 1 functional skills qualification in English and maths / equivalent is desirable

Scottish equivalent

• 3 National 5s at grade D and above including English and Maths/Applications of Maths
• SCQF Level 4 vocational qualification

• A friendly, mature approach and the ability to communicate effectively are essential. Along with a high level of personal hygiene, personal presentation, and awareness of health and safety.

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies.

Working in our Essence Salon, you will gain experience providing treatments to real paying clients. Here you will get to grips with industry standard products and tools, helping you to build your confidence and communication skills.

You will also spend 52.5 hours on placement throughout your course.

Beauty Therapists and Aesthetic Practitioners rely on maths and English to take measurements, calculate product ratios, payments, costings and timings. We embed maths and English into your programme over the duration of your course.

If you have not yet achieved GCSE grade 4 in maths and English, you will be supported to achieve these.

Upon successful completion of this course you can go into employment in the industry or progress onto a Level 3 course in Beauty Treatments.
