More about the course

GCSE Mathematics involves the study of mathematical methods, with some practical applications.

It aims to develop students' skills in problem-solving and analytical thinking. It also aims to provide all students with a firm mathematical foundation that they will need for life, work and further study.

What will I achieve?

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve a GCSE in Mathematics (grade 1-9).

How is the course taught?

1 x 3-hour session plus independent study each week, on either Tuesday or Thursday Evenings.

How am I assessed?

3 x 90-minute formal exams, consisting of 1 non calculator paper plus 2 calculator papers.

Where can I progress?

Gaining GCSEs will open most doors to future Level 3 courses that you may be interested in.
