The course will be delivered on a half-day session per week.

Students are required to find their own placement and complete a minimum of 120 hours placement in either a Primary or Secondary School.  

There is not a requirement to have an English / Maths GCSE however learners may be encouraged to work on additional Maths and English to help with employment opportunities, and this will be discussed with learners individually. 

On successful completion of this course, you can progress into employment. Employment routes can be found through; 

• Teaching Assistants
• Learning Support Assistants
• Special Educational Needs Assistants

This course is not funded and therefore must either be paid for by the applicant or by a loan.

If you choose to self-fund, payment can be made in four monthly instalments, with the first payment due at enrolment.

If you take out a loan, it will cover the full course cost. Repayments will only begin once your income exceeds the threshold set by Student Finance.
