Course Fees:
New Horizons is a fully supported course both in and out of the classroom.
The group is between 8-10 learners and has up to two learning support workers for the group.
Supported work experience may also be available on an individual student basis.
The course is delivered over three days and includes Functional maths and English, independent living skills, Art, Music and Drama and employability skills through internal work placements. The students are fully supported throughout the day including breaks and lunchtime.
Students will learn;

- Looking after your home
- Literacy skills – reading, writing, speaking and listening
- Accessing your community
- Numeracy skills – time, money, applying maths in everyday situation
- Health and safety
- Keeping safe
- Art
- Cookery
- Drama / Music
E1 or E2 Certificate in Skills for Further Learning and Employment.
Extra Studies:A variety of teaching methods are used, including practical sessions, group discussions, and a mixture of individual and small group projects.
Through observation, coursework, functional skills assessments.
