The Level 3 Diploma in Engineering is a qualification which will provide you with a range of technical skills and knowledge which considerably improves employability options.
Students completing this route will be well placed for progression into apprenticeships in a wide range of technical/engineering areas and progression to university.
The course is an A level equivalent programme of study of Engineering, Physics and Mathematics and their applications in engineering contexts.
This course will develop a range of skills and confidences in the engineering through the application of engineering and mathematical principles both in the classroom and in the engineering workshops. You will study a range of topics that will provide you with a very strong base from which to pursue the study of Engineering at undergraduate level in a variety of areas within the Engineering sector.

- Applied Commercial and Quality Principles in Engineering

Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Engineering
Extra Studies:Primarily classroom based however a significant proportion of the qualification is based in the engineering workshops.
You will be assessed through a number of externally assessed examinations and internally assessed assignments
- 5 GCSEs at grade4 (C) and above, including Maths, English and Science / Physics,
- or
- Level 2 Engineering Vocational qualification and Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English,
- or
- Scottish equivalent.

This course will provide with opportunities to progress to university study, HNC programmes in Engineering and apprenticeship in the Engineering sector.
Other Details:
All students will be required to complete a minimum of 35 hours work placement.
