Uniformed Protective Services – Level 3

• 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) and above, including Maths and English

Scottish equivalent

• 4 National 5s at grade C and above, including English and Maths/Applications of Maths

Upon successful completion of this course, in your first year, you will achieve a Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Uniformed Protective Services. In your second year, you will achieve a Level 3 National Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services.

You will be required to complete a work placement of 53 hours.

The ability to accurately record and communicate information is essential in Uniformed Protected Services and we will help you to develop your language skills to improve your ability.

We'll also develop your math skills through fun activities, where you will be tasked to solve problems by devising strategies. You will gain a better understanding of things like orientation, space, time and speed.

On successful completion of this course you can progress onto the Extended Diploma. Alternatively you can enter into a wide range of career opportunities. From designated public service roles, uniform and non-uniform, for example; local council, local government, and private security. 

Students can also progress onto university to study a variety of subject areas.
